Cyber Monday, November 26th Brought Record Smashing Sales for Sneak Attack Shops!
What a day we had! Virginia of MadeByHand chose 5 shops for us to "Attack". Although it wasn't a contest to see if we could break any records, we soon saw that the sales were going through the roof as we reached 50 sales! So old stats were looked at to see if that many sales had ever been made before in one Sneak Attack and it was discovered that on 5/4/09, 69 sales were made and on 5/6/09, 72 sales were made. All of a sudden everyone wanted to beat those numbers and we did with 84 sales! This Team is fantastic! Everyone pulled together and showed these new shops a lot of love with hearts and promoting as well as the wonderful amount of sales.
I'd just like to say thank
you all so very much. This is such an awesome surprise. My kids (okay
and my husband and I lol) were all jumping up and down when we saw the
orders come in. Plus the crazy amount of favorites has been awesome.
Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. I can't wait to join in
the fun on the next sneak attack because the happiness you bring to new
sellers is more then I can even explain.
from Brooke M at www.etsy.com/shop/BrookeMontesArt -- Oh my Gosh! Thank you so much.
I feel blessed to have been chosen to be part of this great opportunity.
I am grateful for the exposure my artwork and creatively is receiving.
I love this concept and so grateful for this opportunity!
I just had to join the fun..
Getting ready to check out the four other shops on the list.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR
CHOOSING ME FOR A SNEAK ATTACK! I WAS SO SURPRISED AND HAPPY TO SEE THE
SALES COME IN! I WILL DEFINITELY HELP SUPPORT OTHER NEW SELLERS,
BECAUSE THIS WAS A WONDERFUL SURPRISE AND WOULD LOVE TO PASS IT ON!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
from Inna @ www.etsy.com/shop/OctoButton -- Hello Virginia and everybody of Handmademovement Team! Thank you a lot for including me in Sneak Attacked! It was cool and very
helpful for promoted my little store! And I'm really hope that everyone
who baught my items will enjoy them :)
Thank you soooo much for the sneak attack. It was such a great surprise
after such a long day. I was flabbergasted by the sheer number of views
and faves. The purchases were icing on the cake. Thank you so much, and I
hope you enjoy them.
I'm considering joining the team since it would be nice to spread the
cheer, but for now I just wanted to thank you and everyone else who
participated for making my month. Btw, the blog is great!
This is what Sneak Attacks are all about! Helping new shops get some exposure and possibly some sales! Thanks Team!
Virginia, from MadeByHand, is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 3pm, Etsy time.
A wonderful sponsor, Virginia always finds the cutest shops to introduce to us, and we have a fun time with all the clues she supplies, trying to guess who the 'victims' will be as well as finding other new Etsy shops to visit.
As part of my face-to-face theme these last few weeks, here's another picture of Virginia, doing what she loves best - crocheting!
What amazes me, is that Virginia crochets when she watches TV! I'm always having to watch what I do when I crochet - you go girl!
See all the new items that Virginia has crocheted for you! And then come join us in our Sneak Attack thread as we get ready for lots of fun!!
Summer from SummerWilson8 is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 5pm Etsy time. It's been awhile since Summer has sponsored and we are so glad she's back showering us with her clues, dancing her way through the day in excitement as she gets ready to introduce her 'victims' for today!
As part of my face-to-face theme, here's a picture of Summer working on some of her fabulous creations!
As you browse through Summer's shop, you will find all kinds of jewelry and home decor items you will love!
Kirby from HappyHoundCreative, is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 4pm. Kirby, a long time member, has been taking care of a new baby (has it really been almost a year?) and is once again ready to take the reins and introduce us to some new Etsy shops!
As part of my face-to-face theme, here is Kirby making some of her adorable cards!
You will find all kinds of really cute cards in Kirby's shop - be sure to check out the garlands and invitations as well.
Susanne, from SussesSpindehjrne is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 4pm. A frequent sponsor, Susanne loves to introduce new Etsy shops to our team as well as the Etsy community.
I convinced Susanne (who is camera shy) to provide us with another picture of her as she works on the spinning wheel. Susanne is holding braided roving - that is the way roving often comes when we purchase it! Makes it easy to pull off a part and start spinning (hehe I'm still learning).
Susanne has many different types of roving as well as hand-spun yarn that she sells in her shop. If you are like us, and very addicted to fiber - you will love her shop! And this yarn, is the result of her spinning in the above photograph.
After you are finished oohing and ahhing at all the goodies in Susanne's shop, please come join us as we have fun in our sneak attack thread, waiting for the new Etsy shops to be revealed!
Two team mates - one a long time member - Sandi from HandmadeBySandi, and one, a relatively new member (she was attacked in November of last year and sponsored her first attack in January), Theresa from kraftygrannyshome, are co-sponsoring a 'trick' or 'treat' sneak attack that starts at 3pm today.
As part of my face-to-face theme for our meet the sponsor - I have a picture of Sandi, crocheting one of her fun scarves.
And here you see Theresa making some of her quilted pot holders.
Be sure to see all the fun scarves that Sandi makes for her shop and the wonderful quilted pot holders that Theresa makes for her shop!
Lots of scary clues, chatting and fun will make the day fly as we get ready to meet 5 'victims'. You will probably see most everyone dressed in their Halloween costumes to get in the mood. Come join the party at our sneak attack thread!
Wendy, from UUendysCraftyCorner, is sponsoring our Sneak Attack today at 5pm. A California gal, the time difference makes it easy for Wendy to start the attack late in the afternoon! Great for those nite owls who love to stay up and chat into the wee hours of the morning :D
I've been doing the Meet the Sponsor posts with a Face-to-Face theme, featuring photos of our sponsors as they create.
According to Wendy - who is a little camera shy - she says:
I do my crafting wherever I can.
Living room ottoman/comfy chair while watching tv and/or new grandson.
Day job desk when it's slow. Kitchen table for space.
Wendy never stays in one place long enough for us to get a picture :)
In any event - when you look at her creations - you will see her 'hand' at work! Yep that's her hand holding these adorable turtle play earrings!
Susanne, from SussesSpindehjrne - our spinning diva, is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 4pm. One of our international members, Susanne always likes to find the best new Etsy shops to introduce, and you can be sure that some of them have fiber of one kind or other!
As part of my meet the sponsor face-to-face, here is a picture of Susanne doing what she loves - spinning yarn!
Check out all the gorgeous fiber and yarns that Susanne has to offer - I have some of them.
And then come join us in our sneak attack thread - to find out what clues Susanne is giving us to help us guess who the 'victims' might be!
Kelly from jubeadlation is sponsoring our sneak attack today, starting at 3pm. During the day, Kelly will be providing clues as to the identity of the 'victims' and our team members will try to figure out who they are. But it's all in fun!! Treasuries will be created, and lots of chatting will go on. Come and join us!
Kelly makes the most wonderful jewelry (I know, I have several of her pieces) Here she is, creating all those gorgeous items.
Be sure to let us know which items in Kelly's shop you like best.
Theresa from KraftyGrannysHome is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 3pm. A frequent sponsor, one of our Treasury gurus - Theresa loves to find wonderful new Etsy shops to surprise! And I'm sure that today will be no exception.
Theresa is always creating, whether it's security blankets, quilted items, or crocheted goodies. And finding new patterns is one of her passions.
Here you can see, with yarn in hand, a new item is in the works.
Be sure to check out all the gorgeous and adorable items that Theresa has in her shop!
And then come chat with us in our Sneak Attack thread while we wait for the latest 'victims' to be revealed.
Sandi from HandmadeBySandi, is sponsoring our sneak attack today - starting at 4pm. A frequent sponsor and long time member, Sandi always makes the waiting time fun, as she gives out lots of clues to who the latest 'victims' might be.
Sandi and her family always had lots of fun during Halloween, dressing up in scary costumes, playing loud and eerie music, and making sure the kiddies enjoyed themselves as they came to the door for Halloween treats.
Now Sandi creates adorable items for others to use to enjoy Halloween. I just love this black choker complete with a skull button! Won't you just look ghastly...
Check out all the Halloween goodies in Sandi's Shop and then come join the fun in our Sneak Attack thread as we get ready to meet and greet the latest 'victims'!
Susanne from sussesspindehjrne is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 3pm. An international Etsy shop, Susanne is known for her spectacular yarns - if you haven't seen them or used them, you are really in for a treat!
Many of our team members work outside the home. When I asked Susanne about that she said:
In my daily work, I teach children and young people, who have had a
difficult start and difficult to engage in the ordinary schools. As the
job every day requires 100% attention, I love my creative moments, when I
can gather new strength and get complete relaxation when I immerse
myself in the solution of a craft challenge.
Did I mention Susanne's fabulous yarn??? I really had a hard time deciding on just one. But I love the color combination in this one.
Susanne has sponsored a number of times, and she always finds the neatest shops for us to surprise! And I'm sure today will be no exception - at 3pm, you will find out the names of those shops - and you can purchase, feature and share the love for all the great creations that you see.
Maria from MsBittyKnacks is sponsoring our Saturday sneak attack which starts at 11am Etsy time and goes for at least 24 hours!
Maria works during the week, like so many other Etsy shop owners, - and finds the weekend a great time to introduce new Etsy shops to the team and the entire Etsy community as well.
What a wonderful way to start the weekend, by providing much love, purchases and hearts to unsuspecting 'victims'.
Because Maria works outside the home, you are sure to see her using one of her latest creations - a little zippered pouch that is perfect to carry around in a handbag to
hold make-up, coins or pens and small notebooks.
There are several of these little zippered pouches available in Maria's shop - or some of her Halloween items might just catch your eye.
Be sure to come on down and join us in our Sneak Attack thread, as we get ready to surprise those 'victims'.
Theresa from kraftygrannyshome is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 3pm Etsy time.
One of our frequent sponsors, Theresa always finds the neatest new shops to introduce us to. And I'm sure today will be no different.
When I first interviewed Theresa back in January, I asked if she worked outside the home.
I am retired now and spend most days working in my sewing room creating.
And if you visit Theresa's shop often, you will ALWAYS find something added! Like these new X Marks the Block quilted pillows...
I already have several of Theresa's creations - I know I will add some of these to my wish list. Will you?
Wendy, from UUendysCraftyCorner, is the sponsor today of the sneak attack that starts at 5pm Etsy time.
A west coast member, Wendy is usually still at work, when she joins us at the start our sneak attacks. (we won't tell).
I know it's a little early, but I love fall, as the weather starts turning cooler and that leads into Halloween - one of my favorites! So in browsing through Wendy's shop this morning, I found these adorable skull earrings - do you see the little hairbows? Well Wendy's earrings are made for children and teens. But if you ask her - she might be able to make a pair of earrings just for you with these skulls! I know I'd love them.
Wendy has other Halloween items, as well as many other earrings in a variety of themes. You will love them and your kids will love them too!
And be sure to come join us in our Sneak Attack thread as we get ready to meet the new Etsy shops that Wendy has chosen for our 'victims'!
