Meet Art

One of our newer members, Amanda from theartofpieces is sponsoring our Halloween Sneak Attack, today, at 7pm Etsy time.

I recently asked Amanda if she had any pets.
i have two cats that are brother & sister, one black & one tuxedo, who are ten years old and act like they're still kittens. spoiled rotten!

I think we can all relate to that. Cats and kittens have their own way of doing things and have their own personalities. Like this cat I found in Amanda's shop:

If you like cats, or just like art work - you will LOVE what Amanda creates. Browse awhile in her shop and then come join us as we have a FUN time getting ready for our Super SPOOKTACULAR sneak attack today.

Meet LaRue

One of my friends, Lisa from LaRue Fashions is sponsoring our sneak attack tonite at 7pm.

Lisa is always there to help - whether it's new Etsy shop or our sneaker members. She's there with advice, offering suggestions about all kinds of things and generally offering well wishes as well as sharing lots of love!

And today is no exception - Lisa will be introducing us to some great new Etsy shops who are trying to get their business started in a positive way. We will be viewing their items, purchasing some, and sending lots of love their way!

I took a peek at Lisa's shop this morning as I was getting ready to write this post. She has come up with something I really enjoy using... Matchbook notepads. I love to use them as a thank you gift for my customers. And these are so cute!

See all the goodies that Lisa has in her shop and then come on over and have some fun chatting with us in our Sneak Attack thread, as we get ready to surprise some new shops at 7pm.

Meet Castle

Beth, better known as Castle from Castle Co is the sponsor today of our Sneak Attack that starts at 7pm!

Castle always finds the neatest new Etsy shops to introduce us to. And a collection of items to choose from, to buy, view and chat about to all our other sneaky friends.

I recently asked Castle to tell us a little something about herself:

Before moving to New England, I used to be part of an amateur dance demonstration team for country line dancing. We performed at various events: county fairs, nursing homes, truck flatbed, the Cleveland Zoo, intermission at the Cleveland Ballet, before a Bryan White concert, at the Grand Old Opry theme park and a spotlight segment of country cable TV dance show (Wildhorse Saloon).

How cool is that? And speaking of cool. Did you know that you can order some of Castle's handmade soap to use as gifts, and she will gift wrap them for you with holiday material, a charm and a card and envelope for you to write a little message.

Be sure to order a bar of handmade soap for each of your relatives and friends. They will really appreciate it. Then come on over to our Sneak Attack thread as we get ready to meet the 'victims' at 7pm.

Meet the Art

Today's sponsor, Amanda, from The Art of Pieces is a relatively new member of the sneak attack team.

Because so many people/artists on Etsy wear many hats, I asked Amanda if she worked outside of the home.

My outside job is e-commerce marketing ... i manage three websites, do pay-per-click advertising (the sponsored searches on google & yahoo/msn), create email marketing campaigns, manage internal customer lists, etc etc. i basically sit at a computer for 8-10 hours a day, sometimes taking photos of new products and coming up with off-the-wall ideas to create excitement about our brands.

Wow - such a busy lady. And despite being that busy, or because of it, Amanda manages to make the most beautiful original paintings. Here's one that just caught my eye!

Find your favorite at Amanda's shop. And then come join the fun as we get ready for our Sneak Attack at 7pm.

Meet Stock

One of our 'Busy Bees' is sponsoring the sneak attack today. She is Stock of Stock Annette

Stock is always buzzing around helping other Etsy shops, tweeting, sending out reminder emails and so much more!

I recently asked her what's coming next to her shop:
I'm about to add a Cat Toys section to my shop (as soon as I can get my best friend Kevin's cats to cooperate for a photo shoot)

and we all know how cooperative cats are :D

While I was browsing Stock's shop to get ready to write this post - I found the neatest scarf - knitted in ropes! How cool is that...

See all the goodies that Stock creates and then come and chat with us, in our Sneak Attack thread, as we get ready to surprise some 'victims' at 7pm Etsy time!

Today's SNEAKY Sponsor and Her "Victim" Shops!

Meet Yarns2Dye4

One of our newest members is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 4pm! I love it when new members have as much fun sponsoring as we 'older' veterans!

I asked Courtney, from yarns2dye4 How did you get started in the Sneak Attacks?

I got started with the sneak attacks through both WellCriated (who has hosted a few) and WineMakersSister who hosted a few weeks ago and is also a fellow member of the Phat Fiber Group...I love helping others

And it shows - Courtney is a member of April's Army on Etsy and regularly donate to raise money for their causes.

Did you know, you can sign up for a club at Courtney's shop to get monthly shipments of gorgeous yarns, a pattern and lots of other little goodies! I love this yarn, and boy if I could knit, I would love to get this in the mail!

Be sure to see all the monthly yarn in her shop and then come chat with us in our Sneak Attack thread as we get ready to be introduced to some new Etsy shops!

Meet Happy

Our sponsor today, Happy from Happy Hound Creative is introducing us to some new Etsy shops today, at 4pm Etsy time.

I recently asked Happy: Is there anything going on in your life that people would be interested in hearing about?

getting rid of tons of paper and ribbon, which means lots of thank you cards and other items. Happy is making room for her daughter to move to a big girl room

And I love the little cards that Happy makes. As a business owner, it is a great way to show your customers you care, by putting a little thank you note in with their order. And Happy uses the neatest card stock to make the ones she sells, like these:

If you love the colors of these, you will see many more available at Happy's shop. Then come join us for the fun in our Sneak Attack thread, as we get ready to meet the victims!

Sneak Attack 10/6/2011 Treasury

Featuring our sponsor uuendyandfriends and our "victims"

Meet Wendy

Wendy, of UUendyandfriends, is sponsoring our sneak attack today at 6pm, Etsy time!

I recently asked her what got you started with your Etsy shop?

Wendy's reply was
The idea of making money off of my crafty habit. I started doing crafts 3 years ago at my desk at work because we were so slow. I was selling my items as I made them to the truck drivers and even had a display on the counter. That gave me the confidence to put my stuff "out there".

And Wendy is very successful at it! In keeping with the season - I just fell in love with these earrings!

Be sure to see all the adorable earrings and other items in Wendy's shop and then come chat with us in our Sneak Attack thread as we wait to see the 'victims' that Wendy has selected for our attack tonite!

Meet WMS

I'm Sandi from Handmade By Sandi. I have been talking about our sponsors since July 2010. The very first sponsor I blogged about was WMS from Wine Maker's Sister. And today I'm sharing some more information about her, like the fact that WMS has been here, almost from the beginning of our Sneak Attacks which started back in September 2008. Yeah WMS!

So isn't it fitting that she be the first sponsor of our 'New Beginnings' - with a new blog, a super team, and a passion for helping other new Etsy shops get a great start!

I asked WMS how did you get started with the Sneak Attacks?
I learned about Sneak Attacks on the 3rd or 4th attack. Very early on! I was a member of EtsyGreetings team. One of the other members of the team had been "attacked" at the previous Sneak Attack and let the other team members know about it. I fell in love with the whole idea of a Sneak Attack. I could immediately imagine how a "victim" might feel when s/he first saw those emails coming in to let them know about their sales. I love the way a group of people could work together -- each doing a small thing -- and make such an impact on a new seller. Etsy can be a huge, impersonal place. Sneak Attacks suddenly make it warm and personal.

'Discovered' a really cute item in WMS' shop - a cell phone charm made to look like a spinning wheel. Well if you love spinning as much as WMS does, you will adore this hanging from YOUR cell phone!

Now if you are as obsessed with fiber and knitting as many of us in the team are - you will love all the goodies you will find in WMS' shop! Find your favorite... And then come join us at our Sneak Attack thread, as we get ready to surprise some new Etsy shops at 3pm Etsy time!
